This document is worth reading and was written collaboratively by the well loved Vietnamese Buddhist Monk, Thich Nhat Hanh, the Order for Interbeing, and Thay's students.  It is beautiful, wise and radical.  You can print it out, collect signatures, and send it in.

I am impressed with this citizen's action organization, and have been getting periodic emails from them over the last few months.  They have several petitions to sign opposing various components on the war in
Iraq .  People can sign up to be part of a national network of activists.  They focus on a variety of topics, right now it is Iraq .  Other topics have included corporate responsibility, and environmental causes.  I get emails from them informing me of crucial times to contact congress.

Great organization working for peace (local!)  Has an excellent article to read: allegations vs. realities in
Iraq : what we know and what we don't.  They also have resources for local speakers, how to start peace groups, etc..

Sept/Oct issue article "How to Topple Hussein nonviolently"

www.notinourname.net
Sponsors national days of action, and has a powerful antiwar statement..  This group apparently was founded by the Revolutionary Communist Party, and one review said that if you can look beyond the rhetoric, it is a site well worth visiting.

Wow…a congressman from
Ohio introducing a bill which would create a cabinet level Department of Peace, promoting nonviolence in the world as a guiding principle.  This is exciting.  It also activities individuals and groups can do to promote peace.
